WHO AM I?
- I am a Vietnamese, born in the early 1980s (1982) in a rural area on the outskirts of Hanoi.
- I am the second child in a family with a strong background in business. My parents tried many different businesses and also experienced many failures. From them, I inherited an entrepreneurial mindset from a very young age — something that has strongly shaped both my personality and career.
- I am a husband and a father of three children.
- I am a Mechanical Engineer, specialized in Welding Technology, graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
- I consider myself (self-claimed) an expert in hardfacing and wear protection technology in Vietnam.
- I study and apply analytical psychology, especially the theories of Carl Jung, into my life and work.
MY PERSPECTIVE
I believe that money and material possessions are not things we can truly hold on to — they come and go. What truly matters is life capital: experiences and lessons.
Through this blog, I collect, reflect, and share my experiences to enrich my own “life capital.” I also hope that, at some point, in some situation, these writings may be helpful to others.
I am not a Buddhist, but my thoughts, mindset, and actions are always oriented toward the teachings of the Buddha.
Thoughts create Actions
Actions form Habits
Habits shape Character
Character defines Destiny
I believe in cause and effect, and in the role of fate and connection (“duyen”) in life.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
That is something I — and perhaps many others — am constantly seeking.
Enjoy life, starting from the smallest everyday moments.
WHAT DO I DO?
- I studied Mechanical Engineering – Welding Technology at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. It is a relatively rare field in Vietnam, but not always highly valued. Welding engineers like us are often seen as “nice to have, but not essential.” As a result, many of my peers have moved into other industries.
- However, one advantage of this field is its versatility — we can adapt and perform well in many different areas.
- My main profession today is still welding — specifically hardfacing (POP technology). I am among the few who continue to pursue welding as a long-term career. This is the work I will continue to do for the rest of my life.
- I am the founder of Bao Chi Co., Ltd. (BCC) — one of the leading companies in Vietnam specializing in hardfacing and wear restoration solutions.
- BCC is also the first manufacturer in Vietnam to produce bi-metal wear plates, with products exported to several countries worldwide.
- In addition, I am helping some companies/producers from Europe/US who want to approach Vietnam and Southeast Asia Markets. And supporting companies who want to source furniture and sheet metal processing products directly from Vietnamese Factories
